Board of Directors & Advisory Board

Bart Catmull

Advisory Board Chairman
Bart spent seven years at PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining Sagicor Life Insurance Company, where he served for more than 22 years — rising from CFO and COO to President. He later served as Chief Risk Officer for Sagicor Financial Company and then as EVP of Administration and Chief Strategy & Risk Officer at Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York. His career-long immersion in how annuity and life insurance products are designed, priced, regulated, and sold from inside the carrier gives Annuity.com’s editorial standards a depth that no outside consultant could match.

Tom Hegna

Board of Directors
Tom served 22 years as a Lieutenant Colonel in U.S. Army Military Intelligence, including commanding the 301st Military Intelligence Battalion in counter-terrorism operations. He then spent 7 years at MetLife and 15 years as a First Vice President at New York Life, where he was responsible for over $5 billion in sales and helped grow Lifetime Income Annuity sales from $100 million to over $2 billion. Today, he is one of the most sought-after retirement income educators in America — a bestselling author, keynote speaker, and Senior Education Advisor to the Alliance for Lifetime Income. His mission, and ours: help people retire happy.
